The Story behind Lifted Boutique & Company

At some point in life, we all pause and ask ourselves, “What am I here for?” That question has a way of surfacing when your heart begins to long for more—more purpose, more clarity and more of God. If you have a relationship with God and believe in His Son, Jesus Christ—and if you don’t yet, I truly encourage you to find a church home and seek Him for yourself—you have likely felt that gentle tug to go deeper. Maybe you are feeling it right now as you read this.

I grew up in Louisiana and was raised mainly by my older sister. I was ten years old when my mom passed away from breast cancer. I was one of those girls who was always daydreaming, but I rarely shared my dreams because part of me believed they were unattainable. Who, me? Build a business, share my faith and talk about fashion, identity and becoming whole in Christ?

Then I heard someone say, “Why not me?”

As I have been building this business, God has been building me—strengthening my faith, uncovering my identity and teaching me what it means to live a life of wholeness in Him. By no means have I arrived, but I grow wiser each day I spend in the Word of God, in prayer and worship, and sometimes simply listening for His voice.

I am a woman who is putting one foot in front of the other and walking toward the place God has called me to. God has blessed me with a family and a full-time job that I continue to work while building this business. There is a lot to manage and balance, and let me be the first to tell you that it is not always easy.

Even with all the balancing along the way, I want to inspire other women to keep walking by faith toward wherever God is leading them. Everything unfolds in God’s perfect timing, so get up and start running your race.

We may feel discouraged at times, and that is when we lean into the Word of God, where we find the help we need. Renewing your mind daily is important, but so is letting go. You cannot fully renew your mind while continuing to carry old thoughts that hinder you.

Inspiring women to follow Christ is the foundation of this store. Blazers are simply the tool—an outward expression of an inward calling. My mission is to encourage women everywhere, no matter the season or place they find themselves in, to remember that God is the One who lifts us out of weary places.

When you put on a blazer, let it be a reminder: it is time to rise, walk boldly and be about your Father’s business.
