She Blooms in Her Identity

Let’s get this out of the way—you know who you are.

It’s been years of you setting yourself aside to be what everyone else wanted you to be. You’ve ignored the inner stirrings of your heart and denied yourself true freedom. When are you going to realize it, obey, and walk by faith?

Over the past couple of weeks, the word cadence has been highlighted repeatedly. It got to the point where I finally said, “Let me look this up and allow God to show me how this applies to my life.”

Cadence means a regular, repeated pattern or activity.

Immediately, Daniel came to mind. His habit of praying three times a day fits that definition perfectly. So why is cadence so important in this season? Because God is preparing those who obey.

Do you remember what happened to Daniel?

He was thrown into the lions’ den. But before that, there was a decree that no one could pray to any God for thirty days and only to King Darius. Still, Daniel stayed faithful. He remained rooted in his relationship with God and continued his cadence of prayer.

So what did God do?

He sent an angel to shut the mouths of the lions.

Daniel was saved, and the very men who tried to trap him were thrown into the lions’ den themselves. It does not pay to be a stumbling block to others.

 

Develop a cadence with God in prayer, study, and or worship.  He is the source of everything we need.

Bloom in your identity.

 

Let everything God says about you spill over into every area of your life and onto everyone you encounter. There are obstacles you’ll have to set aside to do this—most of them rooted in your mindset. It’s tied to who you think you are and who you’ve allowed others to say you are.

Girl, it’s time to wipe the slate clean and begin again—with God.

You have to become so strong and rooted in who God says you are that you can no longer hear the negative voices—whether they come from within or from others. And let me tell you, when people see you changing, their mouths will start moving. Not always to your face, but behind your back.

That’s part of the process.

Blooming in your identity requires you to equip yourself with the full armor of God. What you may not realize is that your shield of faith deflects every fiery dart sent your way—even the negative words spoken about you.

You have to be equipped in your new identity. This is non-negotiable. Not everyone will be rooting for you.

Here’s the truth: the only real obstacle you have is yourself.

What do you believe about yourself? Does it align with who God says you are? If not, ask yourself why. Address the issue and change the narrative. 

This season is about moving forward—spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. With every step, allow more of the baggage you’ve been carrying to fall off.

Write the vision and make it plain (Habakkuk 2:2).

Stand firm and walk by faith—even when you’re afraid. Fear has no power over you when you believe.

Again, Bloom in your identity.
